Coaching
Premier Football Tuition (PFT) has established professional, structured goalkeeper coaching and coaching services.

Premier Football Tuition is backed up by a team of qualified coaches and has the support from many Victorian, A League and International clubs, including direct links to clubs in Holland and the English Premier League.

Premier Football Tuition work to a specific Goalkeeper Coaching structure endorsed and aligned to the professional academy structure in Europe.

We work on coaching ratios of no more than 1:4 preferably of coaches and players, with a maximum of 1:6. Where possible to we try to ensure all participants are grouped according to age and abilities.

Our aim is to provide the best quality Goalkeeper Coaching and assist our goalkeepers to play at the highest level possible.

International Goalkeeper Coaches Clinics

Premier Football Tuition has established great contacts with international Goalkeeper coaches from England and Holland.

PFT attempt to bring out an International goalkeeper coach annually and we have had great success with having Eric Steele (Manchester United senior Goalkeeper Coach) visit twice in 2007 and David Coles (Portsmouth FC senior Goalkeeper Coach) visit in 2009.

Plans are underway for the next visit in 2011.

School Holiday Clinics

School Holiday Goalkeeper coaching programs are run every school holidays.
Latrobe University is the main venue for the Melbourne school holiday clinics.
School Holiday Clinics are structured to cater for all ages with kids put into small groups to ensure a quality of learning.

Regional Victoria Clinics

Premier Football Tuition is keen to support Regional Victorian Football and is prepared to visit regional Victoria and provide Goalkeeper Coaching.

Visits to the Western District of Victoria and Bendigo in 2009 have been the start of the PFT regional program, with more opportunities forward in 2010.

Club Coaching

Premier Football Tuition has had the ability to work with Football Clubs and can structure Goalkeeper Coaching for Clubs incorporating Junior and Senior, male and female and Goalkeepers of all abilities.

Premier Football Tuition has the ability to structure coaching sessions from 4 weeks to 12 to 24 months.

In 2009, Premier Football Tuition has worked with over 10 clubs through out the season.


School Coaching

Premier Football Tuition has been working with schools for over 5 years and can structure and accommodate Goalkeeper Coaching to a large variety of participants and abilities. We are also available during hours that can suit school timetables which can include before and after school programs.


Coaching - Regional Victoria

Premier Football Tuition has establishes great ties with many clubs and regional football organisations, including sessions, clinics and sessions specially designed for coaches.


Coaching the COACHES

Premier Football Tuition offers the service of Coaching the Coaches in basic skills associated with Goalkeeping.

We believe wholeheartedly that outfield coaches should have the basic knowledge to identify goalkeepers and assist in improving a goalkeeper's techniques and skill set.

Premier Football Tuition can deliver a "Goalkeeping 1-on-1" sessions for coaches covering all the basics of Goalkeeping.

International Clubs*

Premier Football Tuition has established contacts with many International clubs including clubs in England (EPL), Holland, Europe, Asia and also colleges in the USA.

A - League*

Premier Football Tuition has made contacts with A League clubs and with A League Goalkeeper Coaches to help to support the Goalkeepers working in the PFT program

Victorian Premier League*

Being in Victoria and having worked at many Victorian Premier League Clubs, PFT has great access to many VPL clubs and coaches and has been successful in placing many goalkeepers into the "Second best league in Australia"

Victorian Leagues - Junior & Senior*

Having a good stock of junior and senior goalkeepers with consistently working with PFT, we support our goalkeepers by attempting to place goalkeepers strategically at suitable clubs.

We are also often asked to find a goalkeeper by clubs and will always try and support our goalkeepers where possible.

Goalkeeper Health and Fitness*

Having a variety of goalkeeper coaches with differing skill sets, enables PFT to offer a great Health and Fitness support base for its participants.

Sports Science Graduates, Personal Trainers, UEFA B qualified coach all help to offer a variety of skills to support the specific Health and Fitness required for Goalkeepers.

Additional support is available from Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Pilate's instructors, Athletics Coaches, Strength & Conditioning Coach, gym instructors and more all help to support and assist our goalkeepers.

Also, having access into some of the biggest football clubs in the world, gives PFT direct lines of communication to "Worlds Best Practices" in relation to football and goalkeeper's Health and Fitness.

Goalkeeper Support and Advice*

Premier Football Tuition has a group of very experienced goalkeeper coaches all boasting a wide range of skills, including ex Pro's from Europe to UEFA B accredited.

This wide range of skills has given PFT the ability to offer great support and advice for its developing Goalkeepers on all aspects of the game.

Technical, Physical, Psychological and Tactical

Player Agents and Advice*

Premier Football Tuition has access to registered FIFA player agents able to assist and support any PFT members requiring advice about club transfers.

Talent Identification

Premier Football Tuition is always looking for Goalkeepers with great potential to assist them in the journey of playing Football at a very high level.

Many Goalkeepers have been approached by PFT to be involved with our program with one of our recent identified goalkeepers being offered a trial in England in September 2009.

Peter Roberts is our preferred Physiotherapist. Peter has worked with us during David Coles visit in 2009 – Peter will be working from new rooms at the new RECTANGULAR STADIUM in Melbourne.
Archie Basil

Strength & Conditioning and Athletics Coach

Archie Basil as joined the team at PFT as our preferred Athletics and Strength & Conditioning Coach. Archie will be introduced to the members in the near future and he will assist in assessing the running technique of the PFT members. Archie will also look at developing programs to target DYNAMIC STRENGTH for all GK to improve power and strength in their legs. Some PFT members have already started doing some private work with Archie to start the assessment process.
Rebecca Magazzu

Core Body Strength and Pilates Instructor

Rebecca Magazzu has joined PFT as our preferred Pilates Instructor – Core Body Expert. Rebecca has a vast amount of experience as a Pilates Instructor and is at PFT at assist with developing a goalkeeper specific Core Program. Rebecca is also able to deal with individual athletes and their Core requirements. Rebecca worked with our groups at the April School Holiday Clinics with great feedback.
Megan Walsh

Diet and Nutrition Expert

Meagan Walsh has also joined PFT as our preferred Diet and Nutrition Expert. Meagan has come to PFT highly recommended and has a huge amount of experience in assisting athletes in managing their diet and nutrition. Megan will have a very direct input into managing the nutritional requirements of all PFT members with exposure to PFT clinics and large groups. All PFT members are encouraged to contact Megan directly if they feel they need any assistance. Megan has offices at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC) in South Melbourne. Megan will also provide an overall educational program, helping all PFT members with their pre and post match nutritional requirements and more.
